Overview:

More than 48 years of rehearsing, recording and performing experience on a professional level and in addition, over ten years of formal music instruction and degrees from four separate institutions, including:

Ball State University-Muncie, Indiana

Western Kentucky University-Bowling Green, Kentucky

Los Angeles Pierce College-Woodland Hills, California

California State University-Northridge, California

Moreover, 30 years plus experience in teaching private piano and guitar lessons.

I care to tailor my lessons to the individual student. With a subjective approach, I feel that I may better help each student with his/her own particular needs, being that everyone has their own individual learning curves and paces. What may be difficult for one student may be a quite elementary for another and visa versa. This is why I personally feel that it is essential to be teaching all students individually so that they may absorb and produce at their own ability and mostly ENJOY what they are doing; thus, they will more than likely excel in the art and joy of making music, adding further balance to their lives...

I instruct basic piano and/or guitar on beginning and intermediate levels (for all ages) growing into more specific styles such as pop, standards, classical, blues, rhythm & blues, rock & country, etc.

Because we are living in this fast pace world today and everyone, old and young, seem to have such tremendous schedules, there is much to say about not having to take the time to get cleaned up, rearrange schedules and go out into the heat, cold or rain when all you have to do is walk out into your own living room and sit down on the piano bench and begin your lesson...

My instruction is primarily within the 818) area code, although, many portions of the 310) and 805) area codes as well!

I instruct private piano and guitar lessons in all sections of the San Fernando Valley as well as many areas within Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, BelAir and the Conjeo Valley...
